Step 2:
A wax model is needed for every bronze sculpture. Wax is poured into the rubber mold that was made from the original sculpture. The majority of castings are hollow, so a series of coats of wax are applied to the inside of the rubber mold until the wax is about _" thick. The wax model is removed from the rubber mold. The rubber mold is stored until the artist needs another sculpture.
